Started in the early 2000s, this project further investigates reductivism in photography, reducing referential subject matter within the frame of the photograph. The work references the historical tenets of photography, the relationship of photography to painting and the light/space movement, and the role of photography in representation. Viewers also find these images to be a meditative space. The project is ongoing and is also part of a larger ongoing project I have been compiling, The Difficult Landscape of Beauty.
